| Programs Throughout the year, Barrington (IL) Newcomers and Neighbors offers a variety of programs to entertain, educate and just enjoy. Each year, there is a holiday luncheon at a local area restaurant with entertainment. It is a festive event with wonderful food. BNN also uses this opportunity to collect toy and/or food for the local food pantry and holiday toy drive. Other activities for 2010-11 included a tour a Hindu temple, a trip to Lincoln Park Zoo, a cooking class and more. General activities usually conclude in May with another area restaurant luncheon.
